Hello

You've reached the online portfolio for Jenny Shears. Below you'll see an abbreviated and curated selection of my work, most of it more recent.

Need some

help?

My areas of expertise are in design, architecture, retail, fashion, beauty, technology, but I've dabbled in just about everything else (Tween fashion? check. Music? check. High-brow design culture? check.).

Thanks. I look forward to hearing from you. You can reach me at: jenny.shears@me.com

Numi

As part of the Ammunition team, I was luck enough to work on the launch of the world's most expensive bidet. Okay, it's also a toilet, but it's really a bidet.

Here's a video that I helped concept and write copy for. It turned out beautifully.

Sony Internet TV

Working with SF-based agency Odopod, I developed web copy, concepted and created scripts for the online video showcase for Sony's new Internet TV.

I also, for the first time in my life, had the urge to purchase a new TV.

Levi's website

Working with Silverlgn Group, I worked on several pieces of the Levi's website, including landing and category pages and many many pieces of product copy. It's fantastic to work with such a rich brand, especially bringing that heritage into the digital space.

Kenmore Rebrand

Working with Ammunition Group, I was the copywriter on the Kenmore rebranding project. As America's leading home appliance brand for over a century, this project brought together thousands of products and many product categories under a unified visual and verbal approach. And it really freshened the brand with a new energy and life, while still supporting Kenmore's reputation for delivering solid, dependable products that families rely on.
We provided a look and feel for every part of the Kenmore brand, from product packaging to in-store marketing to product manuals. These guidelines are now the template that every company working with the Kenmore brand follows to create the updated Kenmore experience.

The re-brand covered thousands of products under several categories.

Another in-store marketing piece, this is a cling-sticker for a Kenmore washer.

TimeTuner

I was really excited to work on the TimeTuner project. Like it's creator, Brett Wickens, I too have searched for the perfect clock radio. Now it's here as an iphone app.
I collaborated with Wickens and his team at Ammunition Group on copy for the Apple app store, the DreamSurface website. Coralie Langston-Jones at Social Blueprint handled press and PR for the product. I only mention because I was able to connect with her a bit on the project as well.

Thread Talent website

When a recruiter with Thread Company asked me to help edit and write copy for their website, I couldn't have been more flattered.
